Well no new acquisitions lately.  Been very busy planning the little ones 1st birthday party which is very exciting :)

She is almost at the walking stage now, taking those first one or two steps now, so she is keeping us on our toes that's for sure.

We have made sure all our Barsony's are out of reach, hence all the shelves up high and the perspex in front of our cabinets in case she decides to throw a toy or two... We dont want any tears should anything break (and those would be my tears).

Obviously happy about having some chocolate

Our little angel, I just loved this pic

Some of our lamps before we put the perspex up and redid the shelving

Latest Buy

Well on the weekend me and Paul went up the central coast to pick up an Atomic Coffee machine we had brought off eBay.

This one is in amazing condition, and we couldnt pass it up. It even came with the original instructions with a sample grind.

Must say we are very happy with the latest addition to our collection of bits and pieces. And another item crossed off our list.

We have our own retro wish list full of things we want to buy. This includes a Bakelite AWA Empire State Radio, a Lynch print, a nice wooden mantle clock plus a set of Beswick wall ducks. Obviously there are a lot of things missing from that list, but they're the main ones :)

We are also in the midst of planning our little girls 1st birthday party, so we're at the part were we're choosing the cake, food decorations etc... Always soo much to do.

Our new Atomic

Even with the sample grind!! Couldnt believe it

Thought I'd throw in a picture of some our lamps lit up at night

My First Post

Hi Everyone,

I thought I would start this blog with the intention of blogging about my collection, new pieces we find as well as my life as a working mum.

I have been collecting things from the 40s through to the 70s for over 2 years with my partner Paul. We love danish inspired teak furniture, including those made in Australia, and love Australian pottery especially Barsony items for which we have a severe addiction to. These black lady lamps and figurines have taken over our house.

We also have a wonderful 11 month old daughter Alannah together.

If you have any questions about any of my pieces where they came from or what they are just ask and I will be more than happy to fill you in.
